Reporting an error
Corrections get priority. If a rate looks stale or a rule looks wrong, include:
- the page URL,
- what you believe is incorrect, and
- the primary source if you have it (a state revenue department page, an IRS publication).
Confirmed errors are fixed in the underlying dataset — which corrects every page that uses the figure — and the page's “last verified” date is updated. Our editorial standards describe the process.
What we cannot help with
We cannot answer personal tax, legal or financial questions — not because we do not want to, but because a responsible answer requires your full situation and a licensed professional. For tax questions, theIRS help pagesand a CPA are the right doors; for legal questions, your state bar's referral service.
